  1. they are there to point out lies or how ridiculous a problem is. they can show a point of view you didn't think of before or how dumb something someone said was. they show someone's point of view of a event. but people should not always listen because some are wrong or ill informed.

They also condense a strong message into something fun to look at. These cartoons serve the purpose of expressing political events in a certain way for people to debate. Yes, I believe they heighten awareness on an issue and spread views. Viewers should be weary of political cartoons because they are extremely biased and sometimes the information is not accurate.
